At West Platte, we are committed to providing safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services to our students that contribute to their overall academic success. Student transportation is a privilege available to eligible students, provided they act responsibly, follow all rules and regulations, and respond positively to the directions and requests of bus drivers.
West Platte contracts with Jarnik Buses, Inc. for its transportation services. Ashley Linder is the Transportation Director and can be reached at (816) 807-6494.
The District runs six routes plus one for early childhood. There is also a bus available for special needs students. Each route is no longer than 45 minutes. The school also runs a Vocational School bus route from the school to the Northland Career Center in Platte City, daily.
All drivers are CDL certified and attend safety training once a month. The drivers are randomly drug tested, and the buses have an annual inspection by the highway patrol. Safety is the District’s number one priority.
